FutureNet Co-Founder Arrested in Montenegro for Alleged Crypto Fraud

According to Odaily, Montenegrin authorities have arrested Roman Ziemian, co-founder of the alleged crypto scam FutureNet, which is accused of defrauding investors of approximately $21 million. The Montenegrin Police Directorate announced on August 19 that a specialized police unit discovered Ziemian living in the capital, Podgorica, under a false identity. Arrest warrants from South Korea and Ziemian's home country, Poland, accuse him of fraud, money laundering, and theft. Police indicated that Ziemian could face life imprisonment in South Korea. Authorities have confiscated equipment and items related to his alleged crimes. Ziemian is set to appear before the High Court in Podgorica to determine his extradition.
